About The Position

Kalahari Resorts & Conventions is seeking a Waterpark Cabana Food Runner. In this role, you will provide friendly, responsive service to create a beyond expectations beverage and dining experience for all cabana guests. The Cabana Food Runner is primarily responsible for ensuring food orders are delivered from the kitchen to the correct cabana accurately, safely, and in a timely manner. As part of our leadership team, you’ll embody our Promise to Lead with Love guiding, supporting, and inspiring associates while delivering extraordinary guest experiences. Your professionalism and helpful attitude will set the tone for a positive overall impression of the Kalahari.

Requirements

Must be able to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
A leadership style rooted in collaboration, respect, and service to others.

Nice To Haves

General food and beverage knowledge, involving at least 1 year of front-of-the-house operations, is preferred.

Responsibilities

Ensure that all guests feel welcome and are given responsive, friendly, and courteous service at all times.
Deliver food orders from the kitchen/expo area to the correct cabana quickly, safely, and accurately.
Verify orders before delivery, including cabana number, food items, modifications, special requests, condiments, and utensils.
Maintain proper food quality, temperature, and presentation during delivery.
Immediately communicate missing, incorrect, delayed, allergy, or dietary-related items to the appropriate team member or manager.
Follow safe food handling procedures and provide a safe environment for our guests and associates.
