About The Position

The Water Well Drill Tech assists the Driller with drilling operations and routine mechanical tasks at drill sites. The role supports safe and efficient operations by maintaining equipment, moving materials, transporting rigs and equipment between sites, setting up job sites, keeping records, and collecting samples. The job may require overnight travel and work in all weather conditions.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Clear driving record and valid driver's license.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Good organizational skills.
• Ability to work successfully in small teams.
• Dependable and able to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Ability to safely lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.
• Ability to stand for 10–12-hour shifts.
• Able to frequently lift or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift or push/pull up to 100 pounds.
• Ability to meet the physical demands of the role, including walking on uneven outdoor surfaces, standing, walking, sitting, using hand tools, and reaching with hands and arms.

Nice To Haves

• Construction-site experience or similar outdoor-industry experience.
• Mechanical aptitude.
• Class A or B CDL.

Responsibilities

• Follow safety and quality procedures to maintain a safe, efficient work environment.
• Lift and move drill pipe and materials weighing up to 50 pounds, and assist with lifting components up to 100 pounds.
• Work with the drilling crew and independently to complete tasks and project goals.
• Operate and maintain service trucks, backhoes, forklifts, generators, engines, pumps, and other drilling-site equipment, including lubricating and cleaning equipment.
• Transport drilling rigs and equipment between sites and set up job sites.
• Complete daily paperwork and maintain time and material records.
• Collect and accurately label drill-cutting or water samples for analysis.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
