About The Position

Citizens Memorial Hospital is hiring a Mental Health Tech for the Parkview Geriatric Wellness department in Bolivar, Missouri. Parkview Geriatric Wellness Center provides specialized behavioral health and wellness services for adults ages 50 and older who experience challenges such as depression, anxiety, memory concerns, grief, loneliness, or changes in behavior. The position is full-time on the day shift, from 7 AM to 7 PM.

Requirements

• High school diploma preferred.
• Good communication, patience, attention to detail, flexibility, and interpersonal skills.
• BLS for Healthcare Provider CPR certification within six months of employment; the employer assists with obtaining it.
• Ability to stand for 90% of the shift and sit for the remaining 10%.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds.

Nice To Haves

• Labor and delivery experience.
• Postpartum experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform frequent patient rounds, ensure comfort measures are met, and anticipate patient needs.
• Document in-patient and departmental records in a timely, accurate, and concise manner.
• Assist with managing patient personal belongings throughout all aspects of admission.
• Read and use the treatment plan and provide care as directed by the multidisciplinary treatment team.
