About The Position
Citizens Memorial Hospital is hiring a Mental Health Tech (MHT) for the Parkview Geriatric Wellness department in Bolivar, Missouri. Parkview Geriatric Wellness Center provides behavioral health and wellness services to adults aged 50 and older experiencing concerns such as depression, anxiety, memory issues, grief, loneliness, or changes in behavior. The position is part-time, working nights from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m., with a $1.25-per-hour shift differential. Qualified candidates may also receive tuition assistance or loan reimbursement, and the role offers flexible schedules and opportunities for personal and professional growth.
Requirements
- High school diploma is preferred.
- Good communication, patience, attention to detail, flexibility, and interpersonal skills.
- Obtain BLS for Healthcare Provider CPR certification within six months of employment; assistance with obtaining certification is provided.
- Ability to stand for 90% of the shift and sit for the remaining 10%.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds.
Nice To Haves
- Labor and delivery and postpartum experience is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Perform frequent patient rounds, ensure comfort measures are met, and anticipate patient needs.
- Document in-patient and departmental records in a timely, accurate, and concise manner.
- Assist with management of patients’ personal belongings throughout admission.
- Read, use, and provide care based on the treatment plan and/or instructions from the multidisciplinary treatment team.
