About The Position

The Driller performs routine drilling, sampling, and water well installation tasks, leads the drilling crew, and performs routine mechanical work to keep equipment in operating condition. The role includes mobilizing equipment to project sites, documenting drilling work, training helpers, and performing preventative maintenance. The position requires outdoor work and willingness to travel overnight.

Requirements

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent years of experience.
• Preferred 3 to 5 years of experience.
• Mechanical and welding aptitude.
• Willingness to travel overnight and work outdoors.
• Ability to operate drilling-associated equipment, including backhoe and forklift.
• Ability to follow instructions and implement standard operating procedures.
• Ability to direct oneself and 1 to 2 others.
• Good oral and written communication skills.
• Clean driving record and willingness and ability to attain a CDL.
• Ability to meet the physical demands of the job, including frequently lifting or moving up to 70 pounds and occasionally lifting or moving up to 100 pounds.
• Ability to talk and hear; frequently stand, walk, sit, use hands to operate small hand tools, and reach with hands and arms; close vision and ability to adjust focus.

Nice To Haves

• Mud School certification.

Responsibilities

• Load and mobilize equipment to project sites.
• Perform and document drilling project tasks.
• Lead the drilling crew and help train new helpers.
• Perform preventative maintenance procedures and other duties as required.
• Comply with and support corporate safety initiatives to ensure a safe work environment.
• Abide by the Company’s Code of Conduct.
