Water/Wastewater Intern
About The Position
As part of HDR’s Water Business Group, the intern will contribute to work supporting communities’ water management, including safe drinking water, responsible wastewater treatment, sustainable water supplies, and flood control. The group brings together experts across disciplines to address water challenges and strengthen public health, environmental sustainability, and infrastructure resilience. The internship offers real-world experience on projects, along with opportunities to connect with recent graduates and company leaders through mentoring and young professionals programs. The position is in-person only. The posting refers to the role as “Intern Environmental.”
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program in environmental science, biology, environmental engineering, or a related field.
- Attention to detail.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
- Basic Microsoft Office skills.
- Commitment to actively participating in HDR’s employee-owned culture.
Nice To Haves
- Preferably have completed two years toward a degree and have a GPA of 3.0 or higher.
- Demonstrated knowledge of software packages related to the field of study or industry.
