About The Position
RESPEC is seeking a civil engineering intern for its Denver, Colorado location for the summer of 2027. The position supports the planning, design, and construction of water and wastewater engineering projects, generally for public agencies and municipalities. Interdisciplinary work with environmental science staff is also anticipated. During the summer months, the candidate can expect to work full time, 40 hours per week.
Requirements
- Pursuing a bachelor's degree in environmental or civil engineering, with an interest in water and wastewater.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to contribute and work well on a team.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Knowledge or experience in AutoCAD or similar software and/or GIS.
- Strong problem-solving and math skills.
Responsibilities
- Support the planning, design, and construction of water and wastewater engineering projects.
- Work on projects generally serving public agencies and municipalities.
- Collaborate across disciplines with environmental science staff.
