About The Position

AECOM is seeking a Water/Wastewater Intern based in Dallas, Texas, with an expected start in January 2027. The internship gives undergraduate and graduate students hands-on experience with engineering, design, and infrastructure projects. Interns collaborate with experienced professionals, learn industry practices, and develop technical and professional skills while contributing to projects that affect communities and the built environment.

The position is designed to help interns develop practical skills beyond those gained in an academic setting and support their transition from student to professional. Duties are assigned to provide a broad, well-rounded learning experience in the intern’s field of study.

Requirements

• Be pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related field and have completed at least two years of study.
• Recent bachelor’s degree graduates may apply if they plan to pursue a master’s degree and were enrolled in their bachelor’s program during the most recent school term, with an interest in an advanced degree in the same or a similar discipline.
• Have a valid driver’s license and be able to pass a Motor Vehicle Records check in accordance with company policy.
• U.S. citizenship is required.

• Proficiency in GIS and CAD software.
