About The Position

AECOM is seeking a Water/Wastewater Intern to be based in Dallas, Texas, with an expected start in January 2027. The internship gives undergraduate and graduate students hands-on experience in engineering, design, and infrastructure projects. Interns collaborate with experienced professionals, learn industry practices and technologies, develop technical and professional skills, and gain networking opportunities. The program supports a transition from academic study to professional work and provides a broad learning experience within the intern’s field of study. Interns may contribute to projects focused on innovation and sustainability.

Requirements

• Must be pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related field, and have completed at least two years of study.
• Recent bachelor’s degree graduates may be eligible if they plan to continue to a master’s degree; they must have been enrolled in their bachelor’s program during the most recent school term and intend to pursue an advanced degree in the same or a similar discipline after the internship.
• A valid driver’s license is required.
• Must be able to pass a Motor Vehicle Records (MVR) check under company policy for travel to project sites, clients, and other AECOM offices when public transportation is unavailable.
• U.S. citizenship is required due to the nature of the work.
