Water/Wastewater Engineering - Student Intern (Parsippany)
About The Position
H2M architects + engineers, a multi-discipline architectural, engineering, and environmental consulting firm with multiple offices in NY & NJ seeks qualified interns to work closely with experienced professionals in our Water/Wastewater Engineering Division. This internship may be offered on either a full-time or part-time basis, depending on business needs and candidate availability. The program runs from June 7th to August 13th. Interns will have the opportunity to work on real-life projects, go into the field, and build relationships with managers, co-workers, and other interns. They will also participate in workshops covering topics like resume writing, interviewing skills, benefits 101, and presentation skills. The internship culminates with presentations to fellow interns, managers, and the leadership team.
Requirements
- Enrolled as a sophomore or higher in a Chemical, Civil, Environmental, or Mechanical Engineering or related field at an accredited institution.
- Strong computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and AutoCAD.
- Eagerness to learn.
- Ability to work individually as well as in a team.
Nice To Haves
- Computer drafting using Revit.
Responsibilities
- General administrative tasks such as gathering and compiling data.
- Assisting project managers with construction drawings and specifications.
- Computer drafting using AutoCAD and Revit.
- Other duties as assigned.
