About The Position

Culligan is seeking a customer-focused field service technician to diagnose, service, install, and remove residential and commercial water treatment equipment. Mechanical service experience is helpful, but Culligan will train the right candidate. The role requires mechanical aptitude, dependability, organization, a willingness to keep learning, and strong interpersonal and communication skills. Technicians work independently in the field, interact directly with customers, and may earn additional income through a commission plan. Culligan notes opportunities for growth and advancement, with more than 80% of its leadership promoted from within.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn on an ongoing basis.
Dependable and organized, with strong interpersonal and verbal and written communication skills.
Knowledge of the city area where the technician will work.
Appropriate, valid driver's license.
Ability to lift up to 80 pounds.
Ability to drive for extended periods of 2–3 hours.
Ability to kneel and bend for extended periods.

Responsibilities

Operate a company vehicle safely and in compliance with state and federal laws.
Follow established safety procedures.
Complete scheduled service orders each day.
Diagnose residential and commercial water treatment equipment, identify malfunctions, and resolve issues.
Identify additional services that may be needed and present available options to customers.
Represent Culligan through direct customer interaction; communicate equipment status and provide solutions.
Collect payment after completing services and assist with collecting past-due receivables.
Perform basic installation and removal of water treatment equipment.
Complete daily paperwork and service orders accurately.
Install pipe assemblies, fittings, and valves using hand or power tools.
