About The Position

ServiceMaster CDR is hiring an entry-level Water Technician I to support disaster restoration work, including water mitigation, fire damage restoration, and mold remediation. The role provides hands-on experience and comprehensive training, with opportunities for career growth. Technicians respond to emergency calls, perform restoration services, operate and monitor drying equipment, document work using job management software, and coordinate with homeowners and team members. The position requires physical work in varied conditions and locations, including attics, crawl spaces, and tight spaces.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Strong work ethic and team-oriented attitude.
Customer service skills and willingness to learn.
Comfort using technology such as smartphones and tablets.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in varied physical conditions, including attics and crawl spaces.
Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
Ability to work overtime, weekends, and in varying weather conditions.
Ability to climb ladders, wear respirators when needed, and work in tight spaces.
Sense of urgency and ability to follow directions.

Nice To Haves

Basic knowledge of hand tools; preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

Respond to emergency calls and initiate water mitigation services.
Perform water extraction, steam cleaning, demolition, and mold remediation.
Set up and monitor professional drying equipment.
Accurately document progress using job management software.
Work collaboratively with homeowners, office staff, and lead technicians to complete scheduled projects.
Maintain company standards for appearance, communication, and equipment upkeep.
Follow directions and perform other duties as needed.
