The Water Resources Section Head is responsible for business development, the department’s financial success, and managing staff at the local level. The role coordinates strategic growth, develops the section’s market presence, manages its budget and resources, supports proposal production, and leads staff development and performance management.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate the strategic growth plan with office managers and practice leaders.
- Establish and grow the market presence in the area through marketing and business development.
- Manage the department’s financial budget and allocate resources accordingly.
- Lead and contribute to the production of proposals.
- Serve as a technical expertise resource to project managers and technical staff.
- Establish staffing resource needs for the section.
- Interview and hire staff for the section.
- Conduct staff performance reviews based on input from project managers on assigned teams.
- Lead and manage team members through setting expectations and goals, providing feedback, holding one-on-one meetings, and coaching to support their growth and development.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
