About The Position
RS&H is seeking a Water Resources Engineer II to join the Moving I-4 Forward Program Office in Celebration, FL. This is an embedded position requiring 5 days per week in the office. The role involves providing professional engineering consultation for the planning, design, and coordination of diverse projects. Responsibilities include developing and evaluating engineering reports, plans, and specification criteria, coordinating with project teams, client communication, proposal coordination, marketing, presentations, and managing other discipline-related activities. The engineer will also prepare specifications, scaled drawings, and proposals, ensure the approval of materials and construction, and meet with clients to define project objectives. Additionally, the role involves reviewing junior staff's work for technical accuracy, providing technical guidance, and performing quality control reviews, field reviews, and observations of ongoing construction projects. This position may also include reviewing and approving scopes, budgets, and schedules, serving as a team expert or project lead, leading discipline or multidisciplinary teams, and managing a small team of direct reports.
Requirements
- A degree in engineering from an ABET accredited program and seven years relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Professional engineer in good standing.
- Knowledgeable of applicable federal, state and local codes, criteria, regulations, and ordinances.
- Proficient in production software and construction document production.
- Proven ability to successfully address challenging or potentially controversial issues in a sound professional and business-like manner.
- Experience working on parts of major projects or multiple moderate-size projects and providing technical guidance to junior-level staff, including reviewing others' work for technical accuracy.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to effectively interact with and build strong relationships with clients, customers, contractors, team members, and other key stakeholders.
Responsibilities

- Reviewing and approving scopes, budgets, and schedules for assignments.
- Serving as the team expert and/or project lead.
- Leading a discipline team or small multidisciplinary teams to complete projects.
- Managing a small team of direct reports.
