About The Position

RS&H is seeking a Drainage Design Lead for the Moving I-4 Forward Program Office in Celebration, FL. This is an embedded position requiring 5 days per week in the office. The role involves serving as a team expert and/or project lead, preparing project specifications, complete project documents, analysis, and reports. Responsibilities include analyzing and interpreting data, performing design, planning, and impact studies, cost analyses, and designing complete projects, systems, components, and/or processes. The position also entails performing quality control reviews, ensuring milestone achievement, conducting field reviews of construction projects, providing technical guidance to junior staff, managing teams for contractual compliance, and potentially managing direct reports.

Requirements

  • Degree in engineering from an ABET accredited program and 15 years relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Professional engineer in good standing
  • Knowledgeable of applicable federal, state and local codes, criteria, regulations, and ordinances
  • Proficient in production software and construction document production
  • Proven ability to successfully address challenging or potentially controversial issues in a sound professional and business-like manner
  • Experience working on parts of major projects or multiple moderate-size projects
  • Experience providing technical guidance to junior-level staff, including reviewing others' work for technical accuracy
  • Experience participating in the design and implementation of new services, processes, standards, and/or operational plans that had great impact on the achievement of functional results
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to effectively interact with and build strong relationships with clients, customers, contractors, team members, and other key stakeholders

  • Manage discipline and small multidisciplinary teams to ensure company and project contractual compliance
  • Manage a small team of direct reports
