About The Position

RS&H is seeking a Water Resources Engineer I to join the Moving I-4 Forward Program Office in Celebration, FL. This is an embedded position reporting to the office 5 days per week. As part of the infrastructure team, the engineer will prepare project specifications, complete project documents, analysis, and reports. Responsibilities include analyzing and interpreting data, performing analyses of design, planning, and impact studies, cost analyses, design requirements, site selection, and limited design layouts. The role involves designing complete projects, systems, components, and/or processes, and performing quality control reviews and field reviews of ongoing construction projects. This position may also provide technical guidance and assign tasks to junior staff, and/or manage discipline and small multidisciplinary teams.

Requirements

  • Degree in engineering from an ABET accredited program or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience
  • PE license in good standing
  • Knowledgeable of applicable federal, state and local codes, criteria, regulations, and ordinances
  • Proficient in production software and construction document production
  • Passion for formulating and solving problems with timely and innovative solutions
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to effectively interact with and build strong relationships with clients, customers, contractors, team members, and other key stakeholders
