About The Position

The Water Quality Specialist helps homeowners understand their water quality and recommends solutions and products to improve it. The role involves testing water, explaining results, performing plumbing inspections, quoting work, and completing approved repairs or replacements. Training is available, with further certification expected. The specialist works with customers in homes and businesses and participates in on-call assignments as required.

Requirements

• Sales experience is required.
• Must be able to perform a plumbing inspection; training is available.
• Ability to learn to determine residential water quality needs, quote prices, and perform repairs.
• Ability to interact and communicate well with customers in their homes and businesses.
• Ability to lift and maneuver up to 25 lbs.
• Ability to crawl, climb, kneel, squat, bend, reach overhead, and work on ladders.
• Use of hand and power tools is essential.
• Understanding of residential plumbing operation, water quality, and basic plumbing repairs; further training and certification are expected.

Responsibilities

• Test water, explain results, and recommend products and solutions to improve residential water quality.
• Perform plumbing inspections and identify residential water quality needs and basic plumbing repairs.
• Quote replacements and repairs accurately and complete proposed work as quoted.
• Communicate professionally and respectfully with customers, office staff, and coworkers.
• Participate in on-call assignments and provide backup as required.
• Attend required staff meetings and training sessions.
• Promote a professional and friendly work environment with a positive attitude.
• Follow company policies and procedures and work efficiently.
• Sell company equipment, accessories, and other promotional materials.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
