About The Position

SERVPRO is seeking a Water Mitigation Technician in Manchester, Tennessee. This physically demanding, manual labor role responds to water, fire, and mold disasters and helps restore homes and businesses. The technician removes damaged materials, sets up restoration equipment, performs demolition and cleanup, and follows industry standards to help prevent future issues. The role includes participation in an on-call rotation for after-hours emergencies. Pay starts at $17.00 per hour, with overtime opportunities and on-call bonuses. The employer provides paid industry certification training and a path to pay raises as expertise grows.

Requirements

Ability to lift more than 50 pounds, climb ladders, and work in tight or non-climate-controlled spaces.
Reliability, punctuality, and a professional attitude.
Commitment to high-quality and ethical work.
Ability to remain calm and empathetic when communicating with stressed homeowners.
Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
Ability to pass a comprehensive background check.
Ability to pass a drug screen.

Responsibilities

Manually remove water-damaged materials, including soaked carpeting, padding, drywall, and debris.
Load, unload, and maneuver industrial air movers and dehumidifiers.
Perform demolition and cleaning in crawlspaces, attics, flooded basements, and other challenging environments.
Follow industry standards and complete work carefully to help protect homeowners from future issues.
Participate in an on-call rotation to respond to emergencies after hours.
Communicate calmly and empathetically with homeowners experiencing stressful situations.
