This is a full-time, hourly apprenticeship designed to take someone with no restoration background to a fully certified Water Mitigation Technician. The structured 12-month program includes approximately 2,000 field hours, working alongside senior technicians on live emergency water losses from the first day. The company pays for IICRC certifications, and apprentices advance through defined wage steps as they meet milestones. Starting pay is $19 per hour, increasing to $26 per hour by the end of the first year. During months 0–3, apprentices ride along and assist with safety, PPE, equipment identification, extraction, and setup under direct supervision, and work toward passing WRT. During months 3–6, they run setups on straightforward Category 1 and 2 losses with periodic check-ins, own daily monitoring routes, and produce accurate moisture logs without correction. During months 6–9, they lead a small job from start to finish, including customer walkthroughs and scope documentation, take on-call rotations independently, and work toward passing ASD. During months 9–12, they handle Category 3 losses and containment builds, mentor newer apprentices, and produce documentation ready for carrier submission without rework.
