About The Position

Roto-Rooter Services Company is hiring a water-jetting expert to serve commercial and residential customers. The role addresses challenging drain-cleaning and preventive-maintenance issues using high-pressure water-jetting equipment. It also supports growth of the commercial customer base by visiting prospective customers and offering preventive-maintenance agreements. The work includes operating and maintaining a jetting truck and system, documenting receipts and expenses, and carrying out physically demanding hose and equipment tasks.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to speak and write in English.
• Valid driver's license.
• A DOT license is required for branches using a pull-behind jet machine.
• Ability to grasp, push, and pull hose, and to squat, bend, and twist to operate the water-jetting system safely and effectively.
• Manual dexterity to use basic tools such as a screwdriver, wrench, and hammer.

Responsibilities

• Resolve customers’ challenging drain-cleaning and preventive-maintenance issues using high-pressure water-jetting equipment.
• Locate lines, provide repair estimates, and perform service.
• Visit target commercial customers and offer preventive-maintenance agreements.
• Operate the truck and control the movement and operation of the water-jetting system.
• Document and compute weekly receipts, invoices, and expenses with branch accounting personnel.
• Maintain the truck by recharging batteries, filling the fuel tank, and cleaning vehicle parts and equipment.
