About The Position

This internship offers an opportunity for an ambitious engineering student to join Garver's Water Design Center (WDC) in Greenville, SC. The intern will assist with the design and management of water and sewer infrastructure projects, including water distribution pipelines, water booster pump stations, water storage tanks, sewer collection pipelines, and sewer pump stations. The role involves supporting project teams with construction drawings, drafting exhibits, cost estimates, and coordination with manufacturers/vendors. The position also includes construction observation and field exposure on active construction sites, requiring time spent outdoors and coordination with contractors and field personnel. The Garver Launch Program provides an immersive, hands-on intern development experience with networking opportunities, wellness programs, community volunteer activities, and professional growth support.

Requirements

Must be pursuing an engineering degree from an ABET accredited program or an environmental science degree.

Responsibilities

Assist with the design and management of water and sewer infrastructure projects.
Support project teams with preparation of construction drawings, drafting exhibits, development of cost estimates, coordination with manufacturers/vendors, and other engineering-related tasks.
Provide support to Water Design Center teams and regional engineering teams on a variety of planning, design, and construction-phase activities.
Include construction observation and field exposure on active construction sites.
Coordinate with contractors and field personnel.
