Water & Fire Restoration Technician
About The Position
SERVPRO is seeking experienced, dependable, and hardworking Restoration Technicians to perform water and fire damage restoration and related property cleanup. The role involves water extraction, structural drying, demolition, cleanup, equipment setup and monitoring, moisture inspections, and documentation. Technicians also assist with mold remediation, maintain equipment and vehicles, keep job sites safe and organized, and communicate professionally with customers and team members. Employees are hired and employed by an independently owned SERVPRO franchise.
Requirements
- Previous hands-on experience in water damage restoration or a similar restoration field is required.
- Experience operating drying equipment and moisture meters.
- Knowledge of water mitigation and structural drying procedures.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Dependable, hardworking, and detail-oriented.
- Comfortable performing physical, hands-on work.
- Able to lift 50 lbs and work in attics, crawl spaces, and other tight areas.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Willingness to participate in occasional after-hours and weekend emergency calls.
- Ability to pass a background check.
Nice To Haves
- IICRC certifications such as WRT, ASD, or FSRT.
Responsibilities
- Perform water extraction, structural drying, demolition, and cleanup.
- Set up, monitor, and remove restoration equipment, including air movers and dehumidifiers.
- Perform moisture inspections and document drying progress.
- Assist with water, fire, and mold remediation projects.
- Safely remove damaged materials, including drywall, flooring, and insulation.
- Maintain equipment, tools, and company vehicles.
- Keep job sites clean, organized, and safe.
- Complete job documentation, including photos and daily notes.
- Communicate professionally with customers and team members.
