Water & Fire Restoration Technician
About The Position
SERVPRO is seeking experienced, dependable, and hardworking Restoration Technicians to perform water damage restoration, structural drying, demolition, and property damage cleanup. The role involves supporting water, fire, and mold remediation projects while delivering quality work independently and as part of a team. Technicians use restoration equipment and moisture meters, document work and drying progress, maintain equipment and vehicles, and keep job sites safe and organized. The position is full-time, with competitive pay based on experience and skills, and may involve occasional after-hours and weekend emergency calls. Each SERVPRO franchise is independently owned and operated; employees are hired and employed by the independently owned franchise, not SERVPRO Industries, LLC or SERVPRO Franchisor, LLC.
Requirements
- Previous hands-on experience in water damage restoration or a similar restoration field.
- Experience operating drying equipment and moisture meters.
- Knowledge of water mitigation and structural drying procedures.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Dependable, hardworking, and detail-oriented.
- Comfortable performing physical, hands-on work.
- Able to lift 50 lbs and work in attics, crawl spaces, and other tight areas.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Willingness to participate in occasional after-hours and weekend emergency calls.
- Ability to pass a background check.

- IICRC certifications (WRT, ASD, or FSRT).
Responsibilities
- Perform water extraction, structural drying, demolition, and cleanup.
- Set up, monitor, and remove restoration equipment, including air movers and dehumidifiers.
- Perform moisture inspections and document drying progress.
- Assist with water, fire, and mold remediation projects.
- Safely remove damaged materials, including drywall, flooring, and insulation.
- Maintain equipment, tools, and company vehicles.
- Keep job sites clean, organized, and safe.
- Complete job documentation, including photos and daily notes.
- Communicate professionally with customers and team members.
