Resource Central is an award-winning nonprofit in Boulder, Colorado, dedicated to making conservation simple. Since 1976, their programs have helped over 1,000,000 people save water, conserve energy, and reduce waste. They are seeking candidates who can work effectively with diverse populations. The Water scarcity is a significant issue in Colorado, and Resource Central’s Slow the Flow program collaborates with over 40 Colorado municipalities and water providers to help residents conserve water through efficient irrigation. This program has already saved Colorado residents over 200 million gallons of water. The Water Conservation Technician will contribute to this impact by performing sprinkler system checkups and offering recommendations to reduce lawn water usage. This is a full-time, field-based seasonal position, requiring daily travel from home to sprinkler evaluation appointments primarily along the Colorado Front Range, especially around Fort Collins. Appointments are usually within 30 miles of the technician's residence. The role begins in July 2026 and is expected to continue through August or September 2026. Compensation includes a base pay of $20.00/hour, with opportunities for bonuses for exceptional attendance, mileage reimbursement, a cell phone stipend, paid training, and accrued paid sick leave. This is an opportunity to join a high-impact environmental nonprofit driving significant change in Colorado.
