About The Position

Acme Tools is seeking a busy and motivated Warranty Associate who is looking for a work-life balance with evenings and holidays off, as well as great pay and benefits. This role involves processing returned products, managing damages, restocking, and collaborating with the eCommerce team for customer credits and vendor returns. The associate will also handle defective products, assist with freight unloading, verify order accuracy, and participate in inventory events. Additionally, the position requires preparing shipments, picking items for orders, and potentially driving a company vehicle for deliveries or pickups. Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment, including snow removal and lawn care, is also a key responsibility.

Requirements

  • Valid Driver’s License with a clean driving record
  • Strong computer skills and ability to learn new software
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs
  • Ability to stand/walk for up to 10 hours
  • Ability to frequently push, pull, squat, bend, and reach
  • Ability to continuously climb and descend stairs safely
  • Willing and able to work on powered equipment (e.g. forklift)

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of UPS and Federal Express shipping procedures
  • General knowledge of vendor policies regarding returns

Responsibilities

  • Receive and process returned products and damages
  • Restock undamaged and returned products
  • Work with eCommerce team to credit customers
  • Process returns to vendors
  • Process defective products from retail stores
  • Process defective products to send back to vendors
  • Assist with unloading freight from trucks and trailers using manual and motorized equipment
  • Compare goods received and packing slips to ensure order accuracy
  • Inspect goods for any damage
  • Notify supervisor of discrepancies
  • Scan or enter product into inventory control system or related computer program
  • Participation in scheduled inventory events such as physical inventory counts
  • Prepare shipments for customers or other Acme Tools locations
  • Pick items from customer orders, shipping orders, or requisitions
  • Prepare shipments and load product onto trucks, trailers, or customer vehicles
  • Occasionally drive a company vehicle to transport items from warehouse to customer or pick-up items from various locations
  • Help in maintaining a clean and organized warehouse to ensure accessibility and safety (i.e. snow removal and lawn care)
  • Assist in maintaining a safe and secure work environment by adhering to safety standards and reporting any suspicious activity
  • Perform related tasks as assigned
