About The Position

Horizons East Building Co. is hiring a full-time Warranty Field Technician for on-site, field-based work in Jacksonville, North Carolina. The role supports warranty and jobsite operations by completing minor punch-list items and small repairs, identifying and reporting issues, coordinating with the Warranty Coordinator, Superintendents, trade partners, and homeowners, and assisting with warranty scheduling and documentation. The technician transports tools and materials between job sites, may assist superintendents and other field technicians as scheduling allows, and is on call as needed. The position is 40 hours per week, with up to five hours of overtime allowed weekly, and pays $15.00–$18.00 per hour.

Requirements

Valid driver's license and a clean five-year driving record.
Strong attention to detail and ability to identify issues early.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Strong organizational skills for tools, materials, and field documentation.
Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to work well with a team and maintain a professional attitude.
Ability to lift, carry, and perform physical work in varying weather conditions.

Nice To Haves

Two or more years of construction experience.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Basic computer and technology skills for logs, checklists, and Hyphen.
Experience with Hyphen/BuildPro.

Responsibilities

Communicate professionally with the Warranty Coordinator, Superintendents, trade partners, and homeowners.
Complete minor punch-list items and small repairs as directed.
Report larger punch-list items or trade-specific issues to the Warranty Coordinator.
Identify and report issues proactively to help avoid delays or defects.
Work respectfully in occupied homes and safeguard homeowners’ personal space and belongings.
Communicate in person, by phone, text, and email.
Use BuildPro/Hyphen to help create work orders for warranty tickets.
Assist with scheduling warranty orientations and one-year warranty walkthroughs.
Maintain an organized calendar and manage time efficiently.
Answer warranty calls and make emergency on-site visits as needed.
Assist superintendents and other field technicians as scheduling allows.
Transport materials, tools, and supplies to and from multiple job sites.
Be on call as needed.
