About The Position

Design warheads and complex ordnance/munitions systems and transition them from prototype to production. Quickly create high fidelity prototype parts to assess effectiveness by testing on the range. Manage arena and system testing of munitions products from end-to-end, including project planning, design of experiments, and safety. Capture test video, compile data from ground and flight tests, and analyze results. Assemble/disassemble explosive test articles and precision targets.

Requirements

• Must be pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field.
• Must be returning to school at the end of the internship to continue academic studies for at least one quarter or semester.
• Must be a U.S. Person due to required access to U.S. export-controlled information or facilities; U.S. clearance eligibility may be required depending on program.
• Ability to complete an in-person 16 to 24-week internship in one of our offices in winter 2027.

Nice To Haves

• Experience creating complex mechanical designs using CAD tools such as SolidWorks or NX.
• Test experience including data acquisition, data analysis, and project coordination.
• Experience preparing engineering documentation (i.e. specifications, test procedures, technical reports, drawings, etc.).
• Experience with munitions testing.
• Prior experience in explosive operations and/or handling munitions.
