Warehouseman, Temporary Status (up to 12 months)
About The Position
To receive materials and stock warehouse shelves, aisles and outside storage areas in accordance with inventory locators. To fill orders by locating materials and preparing them for shipping, and to perform general clean-up of warehouse and outside storage areas. Participates in physical and cycle count inventories. Utilizes the inventory management system to keep track of all material activity. This position is the highest of a multi-step progression and is expected to know all aspects of Warehouseman duties for the Company. Lower steps in this classification are expected to progress into all aspects of these duties. This position is instrumental in maintaining the reliability of systems used to ensure the safety of Avista’s employees and customers. Therefore, a positive safety culture is a primary focus for this position.
Requirements
- Familiarity with inventory management systems.
- Computer experience including MS Office Suite required.
- Must pass Company forklift operator’s training program for continued employment.
- Requires valid driver’s license.
- Must obtain a DOT medical certificate upon hire.
- Pass a drug test, background check and motor vehicle records review.
- May be subject to pre-employment drug and/or alcohol testing as well as other testing and training requirements as mandated by federal law.
Nice To Haves
- Six months experience in shipping/receiving/issuing and inventorying materials preferred.
- Previous forklift operating experience preferred.
- Class A Commercial Drivers License or the ability to obtain is preferred.
