About The Position

As part of Wegmans’ warehouse team, you will provide efficient and accurate selection of products ordered by Wegmans stores. The role requires attention to detail and teamwork. You will build pallets safely and efficiently to minimize product damage during transportation and maximize trailer space, operate equipment needed for your duties, audit orders for accuracy and quality, and maintain product quality standards. You will also communicate daily quality issues to operations management and maintain the cold chain for temperature-controlled loads. The work may involve exposure to cold temperatures and lifting an average of 20–25 pounds, with weights over 50 pounds lifted occasionally to frequently.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Attention to detail and the ability to work as a team player.
• Ability to lift 20–25 pounds on average and weights greater than 50 pounds occasionally to frequently.

Responsibilities

• Build pallets safely and efficiently to minimize product damage during transportation and maximize trailer space.
• Safely operate equipment needed for job duties, which may include a forklift, pallet jack, and/or Vocollect.
• Perform order audits to determine accuracy and quality.
• Maintain knowledge of quality standards, specifications, and requirements for all products.
• Inform operations management of daily quality issues using reports and other necessary communication.
• Maintain the integrity of the cold chain on loads with temperature requirements.
