About The Position

Chinchor Electric, Inc. is hiring a full-time, hourly, non-exempt Warehouse & Yard Associate. The role supports warehouse, yard, facility, and general labor operations by receiving and organizing inventory, moving materials and equipment, maintaining inventory records, and keeping the work areas and company vehicles clean and orderly. The position involves safely operating a forklift and other equipment, performing routine property upkeep, and reporting safety, equipment, or maintenance concerns to management. The work can be physically demanding and includes outdoor work in varying weather conditions.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid forklift certification.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work independently and manage responsibilities with minimal supervision.
• Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
• Ability and willingness to perform physically demanding work, including working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Must be able to pass required drug and alcohol testing.
• Ability to perform tasks including digging with a shovel, standing, walking, kneeling, bending, crouching, pulling, pushing, climbing, and lifting at least 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Receive, inspect, organize, and store inventory and materials in designated locations.
• Load, unload, move, and transport inventory, equipment, and materials between facilities, storage areas, trucks, trailers, and designated pickup locations.
• Sort, stack, and organize inventory and large bulk materials safely and efficiently.
• Verify the accuracy and condition of incoming deliveries and report damaged, missing, or incorrect items to management.
• Process inventory and maintain accurate inventory logs, records, and supporting documentation.
• Prepare inventory and documentation for audits and periodic inventory counts.
• Safely operate forklifts and other equipment needed to move, load, and store materials.
• Maintain clean, organized, and hazard-free warehouse, yard, storage, aisle, and workspace areas.
• Perform routine exterior maintenance, keeping the yard, parking areas, walkways, and surrounding property clean, organized, and free of debris and weeds.
• Wash, clean, and maintain the appearance of company fleet vehicles and equipment.
• Perform general maintenance and upkeep tasks in warehouse, yard, and facility areas.
• Safely handle and operate tools, equipment, and accessories necessary to complete assigned duties.
• Identify and report safety hazards, property damage, equipment issues, or maintenance needs to management.
• Assist with other warehouse, yard, facility, and general labor duties as assigned.
