Seasonal Warehouse Worker - 1st Shift Pick/Pack
About The Position
Deseret Book is hiring seasonal workers at its warehouse and distribution center in Salt Lake City, Utah. The role involves picking, packing, receiving, and distributing merchandise according to shipping labels, invoices, and purchase orders. Workers safely operate warehouse machinery and use computer information systems following established procedures to ensure the quality and accuracy of order fulfillment. This is a first-shift position, from 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM. Employees must be available Monday through Friday, with some Saturdays, through January 30, 2027. The center is closed on Sundays.
Requirements
- Be accurate and detail-oriented.
- Be willing to take and follow directions.
- Have good manual and physical dexterity.
- Have basic computer keyboard and data entry skills.
- Be able to read and write English.
- Be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Be able to stand for long periods.
- Be able to stoop, bend, and reach.
- Be available to work Monday through Friday, with some Saturdays, through January 30, 2027.
