About The Position

Daniels Health & Sharpsmart is hiring a Warehouse Worker for its medical waste treatment facility in Walton, Kentucky. This full-time, direct-hire role handles incoming medical waste containers and processes them at the facility. Duties include checking in containers and paperwork, weighing sharps and medical waste, moving and unloading containers, and operating equipment such as a forklift, autoclave, and container washing and sanitization system. The job involves repetitive lifting, prolonged standing, working in personal protective equipment (PPE), and coordinating with a team. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 2:00 p.m. to 10:30 p.m., at a set rate of $20.00 per hour.

Requirements

Previous experience in a labor-intensive warehouse job.
Experience with repetitive lifting of containers weighing 50 to 75 pounds.
Ability to perform basic math and accurately read and record weights.
Familiarity with weighbridge or scale systems.
Ability to complete repetitive tasks while maintaining quality standards.
Comfort standing for extended periods and working in PPE.
Proven longevity with employers.
Can-do attitude.
Willingness to take a five-panel urine drug screening.
Willingness to undergo a seven-year background check.

Responsibilities

Check in containers and verify associated paperwork.
Move and unload specified waste containers.
Weigh incoming sharps and medical waste containers and accurately record weights.
Operate a forklift to load an autoclave.
Load and operate the autoclave machine.
Load the Washsmart container washing and sanitization system.
Maintain attention to detail when completing paperwork required to process containers.
Work collaboratively with a team.
