About The Position

The Associate II, Warehouse Operations assists with outbound activities as requested by the Warehouse Supervisor, meeting quality, safety, productivity, and operational standards. Warehouse Operations handles materials and product distribution, including receiving, storage, inventory management, picking, packing, shipping, and shipment flow to internal and external customers. This is a part-time, first-shift role scheduled Monday through Friday: 6:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. three days per week and 6:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. two days per week. The pay rate is $19.08 per hour, and the position is not bonus eligible. Benefits listed include 401(k) contributions, paid time off, and access to wages before payday through the myFlexPay application.

Requirements

Frequently lift up to 50 pounds.
High school diploma, GED, equivalent, or equivalent work experience is preferred.
Ability to follow directions and change priorities while working independently or as part of a team.
Ability to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment while meeting hourly performance standards.
Good verbal and written communication skills.
Willingness to learn and rotate into various areas of the warehouse.
Follow site safety regulations, including wearing required personal protective equipment such as steel-toed safety shoes and material handling equipment safety harnesses, and comply with Cardinal Health EHS and QRA policies and procedures.

Nice To Haves

Experience with a radio frequency (RF) scanner and/or voice picking is highly preferred.
High school diploma, GED, equivalent, or equivalent work experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Follow established Standard Operating Procedures to process orders, including picking, quality control checks, sorting, consolidating freight, building and wrapping pallets, packing, loading, and preparing orders for shipment.
Pick large-case items using material handling equipment or pick small-unit items and place them on designated carts.
Cross-train in multiple warehouse areas and participate in projects as needed.
Use the Warehouse Management System to check in and/or send out products.
Complete housekeeping and inventory control tasks and maintain a clean, safe work environment.
Work on routine assignments that require problem resolution.
Participate in associate meetings and communicate concerns to management.
Perform job duties in accordance with OSHA standards and organizational policies, rules, regulations, and procedures.
