Warehouse Worker - Sterling MA - Rotating 12-hours 8am to 8pm

The starting rate of pay for this position is expected to be $18.00; however, starting pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills and experience between $18.00 and $22.00. LOCATION: Sterling, MA (not eligible for relocation or employment-based visa sponsorship) SHIFT: Rotating (3 days work/4 days off & 4 days work/3 days off - work every other weekend) 12-hour shift 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Must be available and able to train Mon-Fri 8:00am to 5:00pm. SUMMARY: Stages production floors and moves products to locations within the plant or warehouse as necessary.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- 1 or more years experience in a warehouse environment.
- Able to read, write, and communicate (in English) to complete required forms and verify quality products being shipped/received.
- Valid lift truck license or able to attain certification.
- Basic math skills.
- Able to work well with minimal supervision.
- Good communication skills.
- Work well in a team-oriented environment.

Responsibilities
- Observes and follows all safety regulations.
- Daily inspection and care of equipment.
- Follow all departmental SOPs.
- Communicate, interact and support all departments.
- Locate material into inventory per MEP.
- Cycle count and pull material from inventory for work orders.
- Load, unload, relocate material as needed per inventory, production, shipping, and quality control requirements.
- Accurate and legible completion of all required paperwork/computer entry.
- Operate dock equipment, correct or report any issue identified.
- Comply with receiving of any material (raw materials, packaging materials, office supplies, production supplies, maintenance supplies and others).
- Assist and support all warehouse personnel.
- Verify, identify and inspect a variety of incoming materials, supplies, and finished goods from operations.
- Responsible for various inventory transactions using barcode scanner and/or computer system.
- Understanding of shipping/loading requirements, weight requirements, and customer's special instructions.
- Warehousing - moving product to maximize usage of warehouse space.
- Trouble shoot any material problems including inventory discrepancies, freight damage, contamination, packaging, or handling issues.
- Responsible for ongoing development of a team member's environment.
- Understand the correlation between production and warehouse finished goods, fixing any issues with pounds and scanning orders.
- Quality control pallets, cores, cradles, boxes, other packaging materials received by shipping - prevent damaged product being received.
- Follow housekeeping requirements to maintain a clean and safe working environment.
- All other duties and/or assignments as assigned by supervisor/management.
