About The Position

Under the supervision of the Warehouse Manager and as a member of the operations team, this role involves performing material receiving, order processing, and using the company's ERP system. Key responsibilities include product packaging for shipment to ensure error-free delivery, and efficient loading and unloading of trucks. The position also requires verifying and keeping records of incoming and outgoing inventory. With training, the role may involve operating industrial cutting equipment. This position is classified as a Safety Sensitive Position due to the work environment and equipment used.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or High School Equivalent strongly preferred.
  • Mathematical ability to sort, check, count, measure, and verify numbers and/or product shipped or received.
  • Demonstrated computer skills in the use of company ERP System as required.
  • Ability to operate material handling equipment after training.
  • Ability to read and write.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Ability to prepare routine administrative paperwork, perform math calculations and perform computer data entry.
  • Valid NY State Class B driver’s license and/or CDL endorsement a plus, for back-up driving a plus.
  • Must wear appropriate personal protective equipment including safety shoes, gloves, and safety glasses when performing certain job duties.
  • Eligible staff with NYS CDL or Class B license and training may drive company commercial vehicles.

  • Valid NY State Class B driver’s license and/or CDL endorsement a plus, for back-up driving a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Unload incoming trucks and move products to proper staging areas using a forklift, pallet jack or crane.
  • Receive incoming materials and compare information on packing slip with purchase orders, invoices, or other documents to verify accuracy of shipment.
  • Prepare orders for shipment by retrieving inventory and packaging appropriately for damage-free delivery.
  • Use of company ERP System as required.
  • Maintain a neat and clean work area by sweeping floors, disposing of cardboard, banding, or packing materials, and removing debris.
  • Perform related duties as requested to meet department and/or business objectives.
  • After training, use equipment to accurately measure materials, color code, catalog, log inventory, and put product away.
  • With training, may operate industrial cutting equipment to cut materials as requested and perform miscellaneous duties as assigned.
  • After training, and as necessary, move delivery trucks within the yard and/or operate a NonCDL F450 truck for delivery, to meet production needs.
  • After training, implement facility closure tasks at end of identified shift.
  • Regular and reliable on-site attendance is a requirement of employment.
