About The Position

As part of Wegmans’ warehouse team, the Warehouse Worker provides efficient and accurate selection of products ordered by Wegmans stores. The role requires attention to detail and teamwork. Employees build pallets safely and efficiently to minimize product damage during transportation and maximize trailer space, operate equipment needed for job duties, audit orders for accuracy and quality, and help maintain product quality and cold-chain requirements. The position may involve working in and being exposed to cold temperatures, with an average lift of 20–25 pounds and occasional-to-frequent lifting of more than 50 pounds.

This is a part-time role at 820 Keystone Blvd, Pottsville, PA 17901. Applicants must be at least 18 years old. Applicants to the requisition may be considered for multiple opportunities and are asked to provide as much schedule availability as possible. Wegmans provides safety training and personal protective equipment at no cost.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years or older.

Responsibilities

• Build pallets safely and efficiently to minimize product damage in transportation and maximize trailer space.
• Safely operate equipment necessary to perform job duties, which may include a forklift, pallet jack, and/or Vocollect.
• Perform order audits to determine accuracy and quality.
• Maintain knowledge of quality standards, specifications, and requirements for all products.
• Inform operations management of daily quality issues using reports and other necessary communication.
• Maintain the integrity of the cold chain on loads with temperature requirements.
