About The Position

LKQ Corporation is hiring a 3rd-shift Warehouse Worker to perform warehouse duties related to shipping and receiving, processing incoming stock and materials, picking and filling orders, packing and shipping orders, and organizing and retrieving inventory. The role may involve operating manual or powered equipment, including forklifts, order pickers, pallet jacks, and hand trucks. Starting pay is $21 per hour.

The position is not responsible for supervising employees. The employee follows established procedures and priorities provided by a supervisor or manager, and may be assigned other duties as needed. Work may involve exposure to hazardous conditions, extreme temperatures, and high noise levels, and may require working in cramped spaces or underneath vehicles.

Requirements

• Up to 1 year of work-related experience.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
• Basic computer skills.
• Ability to communicate basic messages orally, write brief messages, and keep simple records.
• Ability to follow standard procedures and clear directions, using supervisor or manager guidance and assigned priorities.
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds.
• Ability to perform occasional standing, walking, pushing, pulling, squatting, bending, reaching, stair climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or extended sitting.
• Ability to work in cramped spaces or underneath vehicles, which may require awkward positions.
• Willingness and ability to wear personal protective equipment as needed.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or GED.
• Experience in a warehouse or similar work environment.
• Prior PIT (forklift, order picker, or similar equipment) experience.

Responsibilities

• Receive inbound product and put it away in designated locations.
• Pick or pull the correct products from appropriate locations and deliver them to a staging area or delivery truck.
• Operate manual or powered equipment to transport products within the warehouse.
• Sort and place parts and supplies on racks, shelves, or in bins according to a predetermined sequence.
• Maintain orderliness and housekeeping in assigned work areas.
• Comply with established company policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
