About The Position

The Warehouse Worker assists with inbound or outbound warehouse activities as requested by the Warehouse Supervisor, meeting quality, safety, productivity, and operational standards. Inbound work includes receiving products; outbound work includes shipping products. Warehouse Operations handles the receipt, storage, and shipment of products, supporting the efficient flow of goods from vendors to internal and external customers. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 5:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., or until the work is complete. The employee must be flexible to work overtime as necessary due to customer needs. The pay rate is $20.10 per hour, and the position is not bonus eligible.

Requirements

One to two years of related experience preferred.
High school degree or GED preferred.
Ability to consistently lift 50 pounds and bend, reach, stoop, lift, and stand for an entire shift of eight hours or more.
Ability to work consistently at heights of up to 25 feet.
Must be able to work overtime with reasonable notice.
Ability to work in a fast-paced distribution environment while meeting established hourly performance standards and rates.
Previous material handling equipment (MHE) experience.
Adherence to site safety regulations, including wearing required personal protective equipment such as composite-toed safety shoes and a material handling equipment safety harness.
Willingness to learn to operate material handling equipment and rotate into various warehouse areas.
Familiarity with Microsoft Office products and general computer skills.
Ability to work in a team-oriented environment with moderate to limited supervision and an emphasis on customer satisfaction.
Ability to learn and apply new information and methods, accurately process paperwork, multitask, and resolve routine work issues.

Nice To Haves

Radio frequency (RF) scanner and/or voice-to-pick experience highly preferred.
High school degree or GED preferred.
One to two years of related experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Unload inbound trucks using a pallet jack or equivalent equipment to pull pallets out of trucks.
Receive large boxes at the warehouse dock, scan products with an RF scanner, and enter product information into a computer.
Use the Manhattan Warehouse Management System to check in products and follow regulations for storing refrigerated specialty products.
Break down product cases and operate heavy equipment to replenish the warehouse.
Store products in warehouse locations using an order picker or other devices.
Pick large-case items using material handling equipment, or pick small-unit items and place them on a cart.
Palletize large items onto skids and wrap them for shipment.
Pack small items in boxes and load them into outbound trucks.
Drive material handling equipment as required, including order pickers, forklifts, reach trucks, pallet jacks, and walkie riders.
Meet established quality, safety, productivity, operational, and hourly distribution performance standards.
Follow site safety regulations and Cardinal Health EHS and QRA policies and procedures.
Maintain appropriate licenses, training, and certifications; learn equipment operation and rotate into different warehouse areas as needed.
Process paperwork accurately, follow standard operating procedures and quality guidelines, and refer complex or unusual problems to a supervisor.
