About The Position

Iron Mountain is seeking a Warehouse/Transportation Specialist to join its Operations team. The role focuses primarily on managing confidential customer materials in a record center (approximately 70% of duties), with driving support as needed (approximately 30%). The specialist is responsible for secure handling, accurate inventory processing, and safeguarding customer materials and information. The position is based at 70 Crayton Rd, Asheville, NC 28803, and pays $21.00–$23.00 per hour. The listed shift is 7:30–4:30, Monday through Friday, with occasional weekends.

Requirements

Valid driver's license or ability to obtain one.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Basic computer proficiency and knowledge of industry tools and equipment.
Ability to meet physical requirements, including repetitive lifting up to 60 pounds and repetitive climbing, stooping, crouching, kneeling, pushing, and pulling.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Strong English reading, writing, and communication skills.
Ability to work independently with limited instruction.

Responsibilities

Process and fulfill customer orders by scanning carton barcodes and locations and retrieving or returning secure storage boxes for shelving or destruction; approximately 200 boxes daily.
Safely operate a vehicle when required and securely transport materials to and from client and Iron Mountain locations.
Manage physical logistics in the center, including bin tipping, loading and unloading trailers, moving, weighing, sorting, and disassembling items.
Safely operate necessary tools and equipment.
Maintain a clean and safe work environment and protect the security of customer information and assets in the warehouse.
