About The Position

Iron Mountain is seeking a Warehouse/Transportation Specialist to join its Operations team. The role is primarily based in the record center, where the specialist manages confidential customer materials and maintains accurate inventory, with driving support provided as needed. The position is approximately 70% warehouse work and 30% driving support. The role requires secure handling of customer materials and assets, attention to inventory accuracy, and safe operation of vehicles, tools, and equipment. The position is based at 70 Crayton Rd, Asheville, NC 28803. The listed shift is 7:30–4:30, with a Monday–Friday schedule and occasional weekends. Pay is $21.00–$23.00 per hour.

Requirements

Valid driver’s license or ability to obtain one.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Basic computer proficiency and knowledge of industry tools and equipment.
Ability to meet physical requirements, including repetitive lifting up to 60 pounds and repetitive climbing, stooping, crouching, kneeling, pushing, and pulling.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Strong English reading, writing, and communication skills.
Ability to work independently with limited instruction.

Responsibilities

Process and fulfill customer orders by scanning carton barcodes and locations, and retrieving or returning secure storage boxes for shelving or destruction; approximately 200 boxes daily.
Safely operate a vehicle as needed to transport materials securely to and from client and Iron Mountain locations.
Manage physical logistics within the center, including bin tipping, loading and unloading trailers, moving, weighing, sorting, and disassembling items.
Safely operate necessary tools and equipment.
Maintain a clean and safe work environment and safeguard customer information and assets in the warehouse.
