About The Position

Straub Distributing Co. is hiring a part-time Warehouse Tower Worker for graveyard shifts at its Anaheim, California corporate location. The role involves continuously and safely feeding beverage cases into a warehouse machine and cleaning the assigned area at the end of the shift. It is extremely physical, and may include operating a forklift. Shifts are generally 5–6 hours, up to four days per week; other listed schedules include 8-hour shifts two to three days per week. Start times vary, with a current shift listed as 12:30 a.m. to 5:30 a.m. Additional hours may be available if volume warrants. This is a union position requiring union membership and payment of an initiation fee. Pay begins at $22.00 per hour and may increase to $23.81 per hour after completing a 660-hour probationary period. Vacation and sick time are earned, and holiday pay is provided. The employer states that healthcare benefits are not offered. The position requires a pre-employment physical and drug test; the employer is zero-tolerance and drug-free.

Requirements

Reliability.
Ability to stand and walk for long periods.
Ability to climb stairs and ladders, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, talk, hear, and reach with both hands and arms repetitively throughout the day.
Ability to withstand heights.
Ability to repeatedly lift up to 50 pounds; the job summary specifies repeatedly lifting 20 to 43 pounds throughout the shift.
