About The Position

The Warehouse Technician works in the Shipping & Receiving department at Daimler Truck North America’s Canton, Ohio location. The role involves receiving and handling truck parts while maintaining quality, production, and housekeeping standards. The position is onsite and is scheduled Monday through Thursday, 5:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., with overtime as needed. The technician reports to a Supervisor and participates in the TOS Continuous Improvement program by developing and suggesting improvements.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to lift and move parts up to 75 pounds unassisted, including lifting up to 75 pounds frequently.
• Ability to push, pull, and slide parts up to 100 pounds unassisted.
• Ability to stoop, bend, twist, and reach into locations up to 48 inches deep.
• Ability to stand and/or walk for the full work schedule, except during breaks and lunch.
• Ability to safely operate or work near warehouse equipment without risk to oneself or other employees.
• Ability to operate stand-up reach lifts rated for 4,000 pounds and man-up order pickers rated for 3,000 pounds at heights up to 22 feet.

• Must be legally authorized to work permanently in the country where the position is located at the time of application.
• Final candidate must successfully complete a criminal background check.
• Final candidate may be required to successfully complete a pre-employment drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Receive and handle truck parts while maintaining quality and production standards.
• Pull and stock truck parts.
• Maintain housekeeping requirements.
• Communicate effectively with people within and outside the work group.
• Participate in the TOS Continuous Improvement program and develop ideas or suggestions for improvement.
• Safely operate equipment, including stand-up reach lifts and man-up order pickers.
