About The Position

The Lead Warehouse Associate oversees the handling of customer products, including loading and unloading, and assigns work to warehouse associates to meet customer needs. The position emphasizes following and encouraging compliance with company and site-specific safety policies. The role is scheduled for weekends, Friday through Sunday, from 6:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least two years of experience working in a warehouse environment.
• At least one year of previous forklift experience.
• Able to perform physically exerting duties in a warehouse environment that may not be air conditioned or heated, with indoor temperatures fluctuating by season.
• Must pass pre-employment drug screening and background check.

Nice To Haves

• Associate’s degree (AA).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Previous leadership experience.
• Experience working with a warehouse management system (WMS).

Responsibilities

• Assign warehouse personnel tasks through written or oral instructions, including unloading, outbound staging and loading, and verifying and labeling freight.
• Supervise tasks performed by warehouse personnel.
• Complete reports and records in a timely manner.
• Troubleshoot machine and equipment malfunctions and report them to maintenance personnel.
• Advise associates on product care and preservation, equipment use, and the handling, storing, maintaining, and shipping of stock.
• Assist associates with warehouse functions to support high-quality customer service.
• Address situations when associates do not follow proper safety, quality, or productivity procedures.
• Work cooperatively and productively with other warehouse associates.
• Follow company and site-specific safety policies and guidelines to maintain safe working conditions for self and others.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by a supervisor.
