About The Position

The Receiving Team Lead works directly with the receiving department team to ensure procedures are followed and to communicate goals and safety practices. The lead provides ongoing guidance and support as employees complete action plans and assists the Receiving Supervisor.

This is a full-time, non-exempt position scheduled Monday through Friday from 4:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Compensation is $21.89 per hour. The work is performed entirely in a warehouse, where conditions range from warm to cool and there is a moderate level of noise around warehouse machinery and equipment.

The role requires standing and walking for an 8+ hour shift, frequent handling and movement of items up to 50 pounds, and use of warehouse machinery. Appropriate safety equipment may be required for the role. Company-provided PPE is available, with a $100 safety-toe shoe stipend after 90 days of employment if safety-toe shoes are required for the specific role.

Requirements

• High school diploma.
• Must be in good standing with the company.
• Ability to read and understand pick tickets and labels written in English.
• Ability to use electronic devices.
• Ability to count, add, subtract, multiply, and divide numbers quickly and accurately.
• Ability to follow detailed instructions.
• Detail-oriented.
• Ability to work independently without close supervision.
• Ability to prioritize assignments to meet cutoff times.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds or more.
• Ability to learn or be trained to use power equipment, including order picker, reach truck, stock chaser, pallet jack, electric pallet jack, and forklift.
• Willingness to work overtime if required.
• Ability to wear required safety equipment, such as safety-toe shoes, bump caps, and safety vests.

Responsibilities

• Use a tablet and scanner to perform job tasks.
• Receive goods based on the supplies packing list.
• Safely operate warehouse equipment.
• Maintain a safe and clean warehouse.
• Follow directions from supervisors and managers.
• Help reconcile delivery discrepancies.
• Monitor receiving progress and processes to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
• Provide assistance and guidance to the receiving team.
• Perform regular safety walks.
• Assess root causes of receiving issues and help devise plans to prevent similar future problems.
• Participate in process improvement.
• Show up on time, ready to work with a positive attitude.
• Perform other duties as required.
