The Warehouse Supervisor leads the safe, accurate, and efficient daily warehouse operation supporting DO & CO’s airline catering services. This role oversees employees, labor deployment, receiving, inventory, food and equipment storage, and timely distribution to meet production and flight requirements.

As an active leader on the warehouse floor, the Warehouse Supervisor sets clear expectations, verifies execution, resolves operational issues, and holds the team accountable for safety, quality, productivity, and service.

Requirements

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
• Minimum of three years of warehouse experience required.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Demonstrated ability to lead, direct, coach, and hold a team accountable for daily results.
• Working knowledge of receiving, inventory transactions, stock rotation, traceability, food safety, and frozen and refrigerated storage practices.
• Strong verbal and written English communication skills, with the ability to lead shift briefings, maintain accurate records, participate in client meetings, and explain operational issues and corrective actions.
• Strong planning, organization, prioritization, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to make timely decisions and manage competing deadlines in a fast-paced operational environment.
• Ability to safely operate—or complete required training and certification before operating—a sit-down or stand-up forklift and electric pallet jack.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, and Teams, with the ability to use applicable warehouse and inventory-management systems.
• Ability to work on foot for extended periods and perform physical warehouse duties, including lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling materials as required.
• Ability to work in warehouse environments with varying temperatures, including refrigerated and frozen storage areas.
• Flexibility to work assigned shifts, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays, in support of a 24/7 operation and scheduled client meetings.

Nice To Haves

• Forklift certification preferred.
• Previous supervisory or team-lead experience in a warehouse environment preferred.
• Experience in airline catering, food distribution, cold storage, or another regulated operation with strict service deadlines preferred.
• Familiarity with airline cargo and U.S. Customs documentation is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Direct daily assignments for Warehouse Leads and warehouse employees based on deliveries, production schedules, flight activity, workload, and available resources.
• Lead shift briefings, communicate deadlines and service standards, maintain a visible presence on the warehouse floor, and verify that work is completed accurately and on time.
• Oversee local deliveries, air cargo shipments, sea containers, and returns.
• Reconcile incoming and outgoing items against purchase orders, invoices, delivery orders, and shipping records.
• Coordinate cargo pickups, equipment and beverage packing, and material returns.
• Verify quantities, condition, identification, and required documentation before materials are accepted or dispatched.
• Maintain applicable airline shipment and U.S. Customs records, including CBP Form 7512, invoices, air waybills, bills of lading, and vessel supply entry records.
• Ensure drivers receive the correct flight equipment, beverages, and materials within required timelines.
• Promptly investigate, resolve, or escalate delivery discrepancies.
• Oversee the receipt, inspection, storage, picking, staging, and distribution of nominated food items, including frozen, refrigerated, and dry products.
• Verify product identity, quantity, lot information, expiration or best-by dates, condition, required documentation, and temperatures upon receipt.
• Ensure products are moved promptly into the appropriate storage areas.
• Maintain the cold chain and enforce first-in, first-out (FIFO), first-expired, first-out (FEFO), shelf-life, traceability, allergen, and product-segregation controls.
• Immediately segregate, label, document, and escalate damaged, expired, contaminated, temperature-abused, or otherwise nonconforming products.
• Prevent nonconforming products from being released without the required authorization.
• Enforce established HACCP, sanitation, personal hygiene, pest-prevention, and quality procedures.
• Verify storage temperatures, cleanliness, organization, and completion of required records.
• Support audits, inspections, investigations, product holds, recalls, and corrective actions.
• Communicate food-safety and supply risks before they affect production or flight operations.
• Maintain accurate physical and system inventory through transaction checks, cycle counts, and scheduled monthly inventories.
• Investigate inventory discrepancies and implement corrective actions.
• Monitor stock levels, consumption, shortages, excess inventory, expiration exposure, and potential waste.
• Promptly report material variances and inventory at risk.
• Partner with the Purchasing Manager to align replenishment priorities, lead times, delivery schedules, and approved substitutions with operational demand.
• Ensure products and airline materials are properly labeled, stored in assigned locations, rotated, protected from damage, and accessible for safe handling.
• Coordinate timely picking, staging, transfers, replenishment, and distribution.
• Verify that product movements, returns, adjustments, damages, and disposals are recorded through approved procedures.
• Adjust staffing, work assignments, and coverage based on call-outs, deliveries, flight activity, and changing operational priorities.
• Monitor hours worked, productivity, workload distribution, and overtime throughout the shift.
• Provide clear updates regarding inventory, nominated-food availability, deliveries, shortages, staffing, incidents, and corrective actions.
• Maintain accurate shift reports, handovers, incident records, temperature logs, and discrepancy reports.
• Coordinate with Purchasing, Receiving, Inventory, Production, Transportation, Quality, and other departments to resolve operational issues.
• Escalate risks promptly and follow corrective actions through completion.
• Train and coach employees on operating procedures, customer requirements, food handling, inventory controls, and safe work practices.
• Ensure only trained and authorized employees operate forklifts, electric pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment.
• Enforce equipment inspections, personal protective equipment requirements, safe lifting practices, pedestrian safety, and clear aisles and exits.
• Immediately report accidents, near misses, equipment defects, spills, pest activity, and unsafe conditions.
• Initiate appropriate containment measures and coordinate timely resolution.
• Maintain a clean, sanitary, organized, and safe work environment.
• Identify recurring problems and recommend improvements to workflow, storage utilization, inventory reliability, and labor efficiency.
