About The Position

The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for overseeing all daily warehouse operations within our manufacturing facility. This role leads a team of shipper/receiver, coordinates inbound and outbound logistics, maintains inventory accuracy, and enforces safety and quality standards. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about building a strong, collaborative team culture where every member can grow.

Requirements

  • 3–5 years of warehouse or distribution experience, with at least 1–2 years in a supervisory role
  • Experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment
  • Proficiency with warehouse management systems (WMS) and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Valid forklift and overhead crane certification or ability to obtain upon hire
  • Strong organizational, communication, and time management skills
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand or walk for extended periods

Nice To Haves

  • Post-secondary education in supply chain, logistics, business, or a related field
  • Familiarity with lean manufacturing or continuous improvement methodologies
  • Experience with ERP or inventory management systems
  • WHMIS or equivalent hazardous materials certification

Responsibilities

  • Supervise, coach, and mentor warehouse associates to build a positive, high-performing team environment
  • Conduct performance reviews, provide continuous feedback, and actively support individual development and career growth
  • Coordinate daily work assignments, staffing schedules, and task prioritization to meet operational goals
  • Lead onboarding and training of new hires on procedures, equipment, and safety protocols
  • Oversee all inbound and outbound activity including receiving, put-away, picking, packing, and shipping
  • Maintain accurate inventory records through cycle counts, audits, and proper documentation
  • Coordinate with the production floor to ensure timely delivery of materials and components
  • Optimize warehouse layout, storage systems, and workflows to maximize efficiency
  • Manage material handling equipment (forklifts, pallet jacks, etc.) and coordinate preventive maintenance
  • Production order material consumption using ERP system
  • Enforce all workplace health and safety regulations and company policies
  • Conduct regular safety inspections, identify hazards, and implement corrective actions
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA/OHS standards, environmental regulations, and internal SOPs
  • Investigate incidents and near-misses; prepare reports and recommend preventive measures
  • Monitor shipment and inventory accuracy to minimize errors, damage, and shrinkage
  • Lead or support continuous improvement initiatives (5S, lean, Kaizen)
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with procurement, production, and logistics teams
  • Prepare and present operational reports, KPIs, and performance metrics to management
