About The Position

Responsible for leading and working in the day to day operations of order fulfilment (picking, packing, auditing, wrapping) activities and/or the receiving department processes. A key responsibility will be to ensure staffing is aligned for day to day operations and the delivery of quality, on-time shipments and/or receiving shipments in a timely manner. The Team Lead will work interactively with the business teams (Inventory, Receiving, Put Away, Shipping, Customer Service, Product Sales) as they develop daily plans.

Requirements

  • Proficient with MS Office (i.e. Word, Excel) and operational systems/software (i.e. JDE).
  • Knowledgeable of RF scan guns
  • Able to multi-task and perform excellent communication, supervisory and customer service skills
  • Identify and resolve problems in a timely manner; possess a sense of urgency and ability to prioritize tasks and resources appropriately.
  • Promote an environment conducive to maximum employee morale, productivity and effectiveness
  • A State Accredited High school diploma or GED with a minimum of 2 years professionally related experience is required
  • Minimum of 4 years’ experience in a high-mix, medium volume, manual pick and pack warehouse / kitting operation
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience leading a team
  • Forklift operator certification

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelors’ degree in related field and pervious leadership training/development is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Creates daily team member assignments to meet the daily business demands, including quality and productivity targets.
  • Supports metrics and recommends process improvements to increase quality and lower cost
  • Trains others to optimize quality, productivity and costs.
  • Develops, implements and maintains standard operating procedures.
  • Creates, maintain and foster a safe and team-based work environment.
  • Provides reporting on daily, weekly and monthly key performance metrics.
  • Work cross-functionally with all departments to identify, develop and execute on process improvements
  • Maintains operational processes to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Assists in monitoring daily productivity objectives to ensure they are meeting company and departmental standards.
  • Maintains a “Tour Ready” clean and safe work area.
  • Performs additional duties as assigned.
