This role partners closely with Production Leadership, Supply Chain, and bargaining-unit employees to support production flow and material accuracy in alignment with the Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) . Requirements

  • Three to five (3–5) years of experience within a manufacturing or industrial environment
  • Strong communication, listening, and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, coach, and collaborate with a diverse workforce
  • Residence within a reasonable commuting distance of Washington, Missouri
  • Successful completion of the WEG hiring process, including: Employment application review Talent assessment, as applicable On-site interview with plant leadership Pre-employment background check Pre-employment and random drug screening Role designation as safety-sensitive , requiring drug testing that includes THC screening , consistent with company policy and applicable law

Nice To Haves

  • High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree preferred
  • Prior supervisory or team-lead experience within a manufacturing or warehouse environment
  • Experience administering or working under a Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA)
  • Working knowledge of SAP within a manufacturing or supply-chain setting
  • Experience using Paylocity or comparable HRIS/payroll platforms
  • Lean Manufacturing knowledge, including continuous improvement, standardized work, and waste reduction practices

Responsibilities

  • Promote a strong safety culture aligned with WEG’s Zero Accidents mindset
  • Identify safety concerns and coordinate corrective actions through established procedures
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives that enhance safety and reliability
  • Maintain warehouse organization consistent with 5S standards
  • Coordinate daily warehouse activities with Production Supervisors to support uninterrupted manufacturing
  • Monitor work-in-process and address material flow constraints through cross-functional collaboration
  • Support departmental goals related to quality, accuracy, and on-time material delivery
  • Coordinate domestic, international, and inter-company shipments in partnership with Supply Chain
  • Review incoming receipts and support variance resolution with Supply Chain and vendors
  • Provide day-to-day leadership and work direction consistent with company policy and the CBA
  • Apply work rules, procedures, and standards consistently and fairly
  • Maintain open communication with employees and escalate concerns through appropriate leadership or labor-relations channels
  • Support onboarding and job training using approved procedures, training cards, and standardized work
  • Encourage cross-training within contractual guidelines to support flexibility and coverage
  • Contribute to employee development through coaching, feedback, and documented performance discussions
  • Prepare operational and performance reports supporting supply-chain KPIs
  • Monitor departmental expenses within approved budgets
  • Support standardized work methods and continuous improvement initiatives
