We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Warehouse Supervisor to join our team at Uzin Utz North America Inc. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in warehouse and supervisory skills. Overview The Warehouse Supervisor’s primary responsibility is to ensure that all incoming/outgoing material is accurately counted, identified, documented and stored/shipped. The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for the overall direction, coordination and evaluation of warehouse associates, carrying out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. It is also the Warehouse Supervisor’s responsibility to ensure that the warehouse and material is clean, organized, bin located and monitored daily for accuracy and reliability.

Requirements

  • Two year associates degree from college or technical school, or equivalent work experience
  • Forklift Certified
  • Four to five years related experience as a Warehouse Supervisor or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Experience using forklift and pallet jack
  • Prior leadership or supervisory experience strongly preferred
  • Hands-on experience with ERP systems (SAP preferred) and WMS platforms
  • Strong understanding of warehouse operations
  • Proven ability to manage high-volume transactional workflows

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate the day-to-day activities and training, of a team of warehouse associates.
  • Establishes operational procedures for activities such as verification of incoming and outgoing shipments, handling and disposition of both raw materials and finished product (loading/unloading trucks,) while maintaining accurate warehouse inventory.
  • Inspects physical condition of warehouse and equipment and ensuring warehouse work areas are cleaned and maintained
  • Maintains production schedules and build sheets.
  • Prepares work orders for repairs and requisitions for replacement of equipment.
  • Schedules necessary fork lift repairs when needed
  • Confers with departments to ensure coordination of warehouse activities with activities of other functions such as production, sales, records control, and purchasing.
  • Directs salvage of damaged or used material.
  • Participate in weekly cycle counts, monthly inventory counts and annual inventory audits.
  • Maintain a safe, healthy and organized work environment for all areas in compliance with environmental, health and safety requirements.
  • Safely operate equipment as required
  • Identifies maintenance requirements for warehouse areas and initiates work requests for planned and corrective maintenance needs and follows up to ensure the timely completion thereof.
  • Actively participates in the risk identification and mitigation process
  • Drives team members’ accountability of job standards to achieve an optimal output or workflow through the effective use of coaching, counseling, and disciplinary action as appropriate.
  • Take part in shift handover meetings
  • Facilitate cross training of production operators to develop a flexible autonomous production team while promoting a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Assists in the development of individuals and teams to solve operational issues.
  • Motivates team members to achieve performance targets
  • Assist in the recruitment and hiring process for new production and warehouse personnel.
  • Train new team members in the organization's operating and safety procedures monitoring standards to ensure compliance
