About The Position

This is a multi-function warehouse supervisory position which will include supervising all the procedures of warehouse personnel. This is an hourly position which will report to the Warehouse Manager.

Requirements

  • Ability to read English sufficiently to match merchandise with pick tickets.
  • Basic English language writing skills.
  • Basic math skills, including addition and subtraction.
  • Ability to grasp and lift or otherwise move goods weighing up to 75 pounds unassisted or up to 150 pounds with assistance.
  • Visual ability, corrected, to observe and detect signs of shoplifting or dangerous behavior at a distance of 30 yards.
  • Ability to stand and/or sit and continuously perform essential job functions for a seven and one-half hour shift, with two fifteen-minute breaks and one half hour meal break.
  • Ability to learn and perform accurately all essential Warehouse Supervisor position functions with minimal direct supervision within two weeks.
  • Some knowledge of the Company’s mission, purpose and goals, and the role of the Warehouse Supervisor in achieving them.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise all warehouse personnel and monitor and ensure all safety policies are adhered to.
  • Ensure the proper handling and distribution of both customer and company merchandise according to BrandsMart USA policy.
  • Greet customers pleasantly and with respect, providing information and education as needed.
  • Use hand trucks, flatbeds, and platforms to move merchandise. Operate a forklift if qualified.
  • Wear a back support belt when lifting and ensure tethering to safety belt and lift platform when applicable.
  • Detect signs of shoplifting, theft, and other security risks and communicate potential problems to management or security.
  • Perform cleaning and maintenance of warehouse or showroom areas.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by the Warehouse Manager and/or supervisor.
